Valkyrie V360 LCD CPU Liquid Cooler Review

Meet the Valkyrie V360 LCD

Meet Valkyrie’s new V360 LCD CPU Cooler

Recently, we have been looking at the latest cooling products from Valkyrie, a relatively newcomer to the CPU cooling market. So far, we have been impressed by the company’s SL125 air cooler (see our review here), and today we want to see how their liquid cooling solutions perform. To do this, we will be testing Valkyrie’s new V360 LCD CPU cooler.

For testing, we have been provided the white version of Valkyrie’s V360 LCD CPU cooler. We will be testing it using our CPU cooler test rig, which is detailed below.

Unboxing the Valkyrie V360 LCD

Valkyrie’s new liquid cooler certainly has premium packaging. Unlike most CPU coolers, unboxing this AIO has some fanfare. There is no egg carton-style inner box; this cooler has a purpose-built box with custom artwork and styling. Valkyrie is clearly aiming for a premium unboxing experience.

Overall, the box is sturdy, and the V360 LCD is easy to remove. This rigidity makes it unlikely for this AIO to get damaged in transit, which is good news for anyone who doesn’t trust their local posties.

As you can see, this cooler’s fans come pre-installed, allowing users to quickly install this cooling solution inside their systems. Most cables are bundled together for easy cable management.

Cable Management

As mentioned before, most cables from this AIO are bundled together. This makes it easy for users of this cooler to route their cables behind their PC’s motherboard tray. Note that a separate RGB cable is used to illuminate the edge of Valkyrie’s pre-installed fans.

Separate cables power the V360 LCD’s AIO pump and LCD screens. These will need to be routed to the rear of your PC case around your motherboard components. These cables will be harder to hide than this AIO’s other cables.

Cooler Pricing and Specifications

Valkyrie’s V-series LCD CPU coolers will be available in 240mm and 360mm forms. These coolers will cost €219.90 and €249.90, respectively. Both models feature a 5-year warranty and a 3.5-inch LCD.

This new AIO design uses Valkyrie’s “next-generation pump design”. The cooler uses a copper cold plate and ships with pre-applied thermal paste. Valkyrie claims that their AIOs use “in-house” pump technology, making their coolers dissimilar to those used by other brands.

The LCD module on Valkyrie’s cooler is removable and can be mounted in various ways. This allows users of this cooler to orient their LCD to suit their aesthetic preferences. This also makes this component easier to clean when it’s time to dust your system.

Lighting

RGB lighting elements on this cooler include its three pre-installed fans and a strip alongside these fans (which Tom forgot to plug in… tisk tisk). These LEDs are controllable using standard 3-pin ARGB connectors.

OC3D CPU Cooler Test Rig Specifications

Last year, we built a new PC for CPU cooler testing. This new PC has a newer, hotter-running CPU, a more power-hungry graphics card, and a cooling layout that is common for today’s gaming PCs. Simply put, we have moved to more modern hardware so that we can better test modern CPU cooling solutions.

A hidden extra

At the bottom of Valkyrie’s V360 box is an optional extra that we almost missed.

After unboxing it, we now have a neat LED illuminated stand that features the same anime-like artwork as Valkyrie’s boxart.

Plug it into an RGB port and it looks pretty neat. A nice little desk decoration for anyone who wants that kind of thing.
