AMD AGESA update 1.0.0.6 - Do BIOS updates matter?

3DMARK

While the memory performance changed with this new update have been minor, there has certainly been an impact on our 3DMARK results, which while small are very welcome given the fact that there are no hardware changes within our test system.

The performance changes here account for a less than 1% but are consistent across all of our 3DMARK Fire Strike bench runs, which is a welcome change for those who crave higher benchmark scores.

When using Futuremark’s newer DirectX 12 based 3DMARK Time Spy test we see an even larger performance improvement than our Fire Strike tests. This is only a 2.3% performance gain, but that is a significant boost considering that there are no hardware changes present in our test system.
