Overclocking

Both the 1200 and 1300 overclock very easily and require a lot lower voltage than their Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 brethren. There is a little more performance available to be squeezed from the Ryzen 3 1300 – very nearly 4.1 GHz – than the Ryzen 3 1200 – just a hair under 4 GHz. Add this to the faster clock speed and faster Turbo boost speeds and the 1300 should probably best the 1200 in our graphs. Of course we need to benchmark them to find out, so let’s get on with it.

1200 was actually hovering between 1.275v and 1.29v to hold the 4ghz overclock! For some reason CPU-Z wasnt reading the correct voltage but strangely seemed to work fine on the 1300x.
