AMD Ryzen memory optimisation – The effect of tRC timings

AIDA 64 – Memory Performance

When looking at our memory’s raw performance in AIDA 64, we can see that our changes to tRC timings have had a positive performance impact. While this impact is small, it is still an increase of around 200MB/s in almost every test.

While this increase in performance is relatively minor, it is still a marked improvement that is effectively a free performance upgrade for Ryzen users if their system proves stable.

Moving to memory latency we see no improvement in our 2666MHz test and a small 0.2ns improvement at 3200MHz, which remained consistent over multiple runs and retests. This decrease is exceptionally minor and pretty much non-existent at 2666MHz.
