In Gears of War 4, we have found that our changes to memory timings do have an impact on performance, with a notable increase in minimum framerate when using 2666MHz memory and a smaller boost when running the game with 3200MHz memory.  

Any increase in minimum FPS is always a good thing to have, as it will make the game feel smoother and more consistent. Nobody wants to see large framerate dips while gaming, so anything that can deliver boost performance in this regard is a good thing.
