AMD X370 vs X470 vs X570 – 3600X & 3700X Review
Overclocking
The X470 is recent enough that we’ve tested it in full for today’s comparison, but we’re focussing largely upon the X370 and X570 as there is such a broad time gap between their relative launches.
The X570 comfortably has the better memory capability being able to run the 3600x at 4550mhz, something we knew would be the weakness of the X370 boards as it has been one of the biggest area of improvement and even shouted about by AMD themselves on the X470 launch. However in raw CPU overclocking terms the X370 just shades the X570 by another 25 MHz but this is definitely down to the fact the memory is considerably lower at just 3200mhz, showing that the Ryzen 5 3600X isn’t anything stronger than the power phases were designed to handle.
