HEVC does a similar thing to the x.265 benchmark but instead of running with the x265 encoder it utilises the popular H.265 format which is rapidly becoming the standard for video encoding.
We’ve discovered that H.265 slightly prefers the Intel architecture, but that doesn’t mean that the Threadripper 3960X is exactly slow. Anything with 24 cores will never be a slouch.
