Following the success in CineBench it isn’t a shock to find the X399 Zenith Extreme and Ryzen 1950X Threadripper combination performing so well in Blender. 4 minutes faster than the i9-7900X at 4K. You definitely need to overclock the Threadripper to get the best from it though, as the stock one is close to the i9 despite having 12 more threads at its disposal.
