Blimey Charlie. We knew that there was a change in the way that ASUS had got the Rampage IV Black Edition handling memory tasks and streamlining the overall experience, but the Rampage VI Black makes the Extreme look like it's coal powered such is the difference in PC Mark scores. We could pick any of them to be honest, but the one that stands out like a beacon is the PC Mark 7 productivity score. Identical systems apart from the motherboards and the Extreme scored 2847 compared to the 6499 of the Black Edition. Outstanding.

nice review, Tom will you be replacing the bench rig with this and 4960X?

I think $500 (according to Newegg) is a bit excessive...but we all know you get what you pay for.
I have been waiting for a board before buying the 4930k, the wait is over.
Over the past 6 years that I have been using ASUS motherboards I have had plenty of ups and down with them, but in all honesty I really have become almost "dependent" (more like 100% comfortable) with them.
Thanks again for the review!Quote
