Considering that we’ve reviewed a few EVGA FTW graphics cards that didn’t make it obvious they were FTW variants, no such claims can be laid at the doorstep of the Classified K. That’s a big logo. Around the back there is a clearly lain out set of set of feature highlights

The Classified itself shows the efforts EVGA have gone to to keep the VRMs cool. Most of the motherboard is fairly standard fair with armoured slots, onboard buttons, plenty of headers, and yet the MOSFET heatsink totally dominates proceedings. We like it. It has an industrial, blue collar quality that is a nice change from the flashier gaming-focussed offerings we’ve seen elsewhere.

We are struggling to remember the last time we saw a motherboard with a built in speaker. There must have been some, but there is something about the clarity of the hardware distribution across the PCB that makes the one on the Classified K really stand out.

Two BIOS on one motherboard isn’t a new system but often the selection between them is either done automatically if one is detected as being corrupt, or requires some jiggery pokery to get the one you want. The EVGA system is a simple toggle switch, perfect if you want one setup for energy efficient daily use and one for balls-to-the-wall overclocking.

EVGA have also joined in the RGB LED strip header fun and games. It wasn’t that long ago that the idea of a “choose your own colour” system seemed like witchcraft, and now even motherboards aimed at the hardcore enthusiast are getting in on the act.

Lastly around the back we find all the usual connectivity options that you would expect from a high end motherboard. Dual LAN, USB 3.0, USB 3.1 of both types, the Classified has got you covered.
