There has been plenty of discussion about PCI Express 4.0 on the Z490, with some manufacturers mentioning how they theoretically support it for some un-named future CPU release, but right now, on these processors and this motherboard, it’s still PCI Express 3.0. Okay in GPUs that doesn’t make a difference, but we like the extra storage performance it gave.
