In raw horsepower terms we don’t expect any of you to be surprised at how well the i9-7900X comes out of it, although it’s worth noting that it doesn’t so much better the i7-6950X as annihilate it. It’s almost ridiculous how much extra performance Intel has squeezed out of something which, on paper at least, looks similar to the previous ten-core CPU.
