We’re big fans of the Gears of War 4 benchmark because it gives us two clear indicators of the thing we keep saying. On the one hand the CPU rendering result shows how much better a certain processor is over another, but the GPU based frame rate demonstrates that in actual playing smoothness it’s all about the GPU. Unless you’re suggesting that the 4 FPS between an i3 and the i9-7900X is worth the additional £800 cost and that you wouldn’t be better off buying another GTX 1080 Ti with it?
