As you could see from our testing, the overclocking results don’t always see the same increase we might have expected in previous generations. This is largely because of how well Intel – and AMD – have tuned their automatic clock speed boost technologies. The MSI Z790 Carbon we’re testing on today also has a BIOS option that opens the taps if you have a sufficiently powerful cooler, with a single button click. Useful for those of you who just want to install and play.
