The Tomahawk only has a tiny bit of green on the motherboard itself, and not loads on the packaging either. The actual green probably reminds us of Nvidia more than anything. However, what it isn’t is black or white. So hooray for keeping a little colour in the hardware world. God knows it’s devoid of it just about everywhere else.

Here he is in all his glory. The MSI MAG B860 Tomahawk WiFi. The MAG range is the lowest of the three named lineups under the MSI umbrella, with MPG and MEG above, but it’s also where the sensible price points are found. It’s the motherboard for everyone, not just the well heeled.

Beginning where we always do at the top left corner and fans of their finger skin will be pleased to note just a single fan header here. Perfect for placing your case exhaust, and for not scraping your skin off on VRM heatsinks.

Moving to the DIMM slot side and we find the two 8pin 12V ATX power inputs. There are also three headers here for cooling fans to keep your CPU frosty. Those of you who like to dabble in the world of RGB lighting will appreciate both the regular and addressable RGB headers here too.

Moving further down we find some old friends. Type-A USB front panel in USB 3 form, SATA ports, case fan headers. For what else you get, read on.
