MSI P67 Big Bang Marshal Review

Starting off with AIDA64 and its CPU test suite we find that the Marshal, despite that simple 5GHz overclock doesn’t dominate at all. In fact it’s trading blows with the reference Intel motherboard. Not exactly an auspicious start and once you look at the stock results things are equally sticky with the exact opposite tests being better for the Marshal than the reference.

Memory Suite

Once again it’s a tough call between the reference design and the Marshal. At stock the Marshal takes it thanks to a better read speed, but when overclocked that self-same read speed is the Achilles Heel that causes the Copy test to also be slower than reference and so it’s tough to say the Marshal is on a par, rather it’s curiously lagging behind.
