PC Mark

Now Futuremark has finally sorted out the X99 compatibility with its suite of tests we can reintroduce them. Oddly in both PC Mark Vantage and PC Mark 7 Pro the X99S Gaming 7 is good, but not as stunning as we might have expected. Whether this is simply a case of PC Mark not being able to utilise all sixteen CPU threads, or if there are still some underlying issues to be sorted out we don't know yet. At the very least it shows how good the i7-4xxx performs.

Great review, finally a board that's bit more affordable for mere mortals. But would like to see some figures with an M.2 SSD.Quote
