MSI reveals tonnes of GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs at CES

MSI revealed a boatload of RTX 50 series GPUs at CES – Let’s have a look

Less than 24 hours have passed since Nvidia revealed its RTX 50 series of graphics cards. Today, MSI has shown us their RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070 product lines. To say the least, MSI is ready for the next generation of GeForce.

All of these new GPUs come with GDDR7 memory, GeForce Blackwell silicon, and support for DLSS 4. Note that all of these GPUs are also powered using 12V-2×6 power cables, with no models using traditional 8-pin PCIe power connectors.

MSI has a tonne of RTX 5090 models

Below, we have the GeForce RTX SUPRIM Liquid OC. This new GPU from MSI is primarily cooled using a 360mm liquid cooling solution. This GPU’s VRAM and GPU core are cooled using its attached AIO, while its power phases and other components are cooled using its included fan.

MSI has used a patented water block design to cool this graphics card. This block uses a special waterway layout to ensure that both this GPU’s core and VRAM are adequately cooled under high loads.

New to MSI’s RTX 50 series lineup is its VANGUARD series of graphics cards. This new cooler uses a “Hyper Frozr” heatsink design with seven-blade STORMFORCE fans. This GPU uses an “advanced vapour chamber” cooling solution with “Wave Curved 4.0” fins and “Air Antegrade 2.0” cutouts that enable optimal airflow efficiency.

All-in-all, we like the look of these new GPUs from MSI.

The SUPRIM returns

MSI’s SUPRIM series returns with Nvidia’s RTX 50 series lineups. This GPU boasts many of the same cooling technologies as MSI’s new VANGUARD GPU models, though it has a different external aesthetic.

Next up, we have the MSI TX 5090 Gaming Trio. This GPU uses MSI’s TRI Frozr 4.0 heatsink design with Stormforce fans and a nicked-plated copper base plate. This GPU sits below the Vanguard and the SUPRIM when it comes to cooling performance, despite its similar size.

Finally, we have the RTX 5090 VENTUS X3, the lowest-end GPU in MSI’s RTX 5090 lineup. Its heatsink doesn’t use the same advanced technologies as its higher-end counterparts, though it is still a GeForce RTX 5090. This model will likely run hotter than the others, though it will likely be MSI’s most affordable RTX 5090 model.

MSI’s RTX 5080 Models

For the most part, MSI’s RTX 5080 product range is identical to its RTX 5090 range. We have the same SUPRIM Liquid, SUPRIM, VANGUARD, Gaming Trio, and Ventus 3X models as before. However, we also have an extra model, the Gaming Trio White.

Honestly, I think the Gaming Trio White is my favourite MSI RTX 5080. That said, I am a little annoyed that there isn’t an RTX 5080 Expert model.

MSI RTX 5070 Ti

For Nvidia’s RTX 5070 Ti range, we have the same model names and designs represented. This time, the heatsinks are a little slimmer than before. Below, we have the RTX 5070 Ti Gaming Trio Black/White and the RTX 5070 Ti Ventus 3X.

New for the RTX 5070 Ti range is the MSI RTX 5070 Ti Inspire. This is another triple-fan RTX 5070 Ti design from MSI that appears to sit below their Ventus 3X series.

MSI’s RTX 5070 series

Finally, we have MSI’s RTX 5070 range. Model-wise, this range is similar to Nvidia’s RTX 5070 Ti range. However, there are some smaller dual-fan models that fill up the more affordable side of the RTX 5070 spectrum. Below, we can see the RTX 5070 INSPIRE.

Next up, we have the RTX 5070 Ventus 2x White. Beside it we can see a standard Ventus 2x model, which has the Ventus series’ standard colour scheme.
