AMD FSR 4 Tested with Borderlands 4
AMD RX 9070 XT and RX 9060 XT Performance
Testing AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9060 XT in Borderlands 4
To put it simply, Borderlands 4’s “Badass” preset is far too demanding. Even an RTX 5090 can’t run this game at 4K 60+ FPS at those settings without upscaling. For this reason, we tested Borderlands 4 with high settings in this FSR analysis. We hope to release a full PC performance review of Borderlands 4 soon, which will detail our optimised settings for the game.
Sapphire RX 9070 XT Pulse
At 4K High settings, Sapphire’s RX 9070 XT delivers strong results when combined with AMD’s FSR 4 tech. With FSR 4 in performance mode, framerates stay above 60 FPS at 4K. With Frame Generation enabled, average framerates shoot past 120 FPS. This gives us a great gaming experience in Borderlands 4.
Sapphire RX 9060 XT Pulse
Sapphire’s RX 9060 XT Pulse is a GPU that we think is perfect for 1440p gaming. So how does it handle Borderlands 4 at 1440p? Well, just like its higher-end counterpart, this GPU can deliver solid 60+ FPS framerates during our test sequence with FSR 4 enabled. Add on frame generation and average framerates reach 130 FPS. With these settings, Borderlands 4 looks great and runs smoothly.
