AMD RX Vega 64 and Vega 56 Review

AMD RX Vega64 and Vega52 Review

Temperatures

The weakness of the watermill style fan has long been known, and the power hungry nature of the Vega means that there is a lot of heat to dissipate. The fan is fairly noisy too, even on automatic, so clearly AMD have tuned it to try and be as quiet as possible which means that the temperatures soar. If you happen to be deaf, or have your PC in a soundproof booth, then cast your eye to the bottom of the graph to see what 100% fans can do to the temperature. Impressive. At least it means that the 3rd Party cards should be MUCH cooler as the Vega GPU clearly has the capabilities to run cool.
