ASUS ProArt PA279CV Review

We have to confess that we enjoy the simplicity of the ProArt PA279CV box. It is somewhat ironic that a monitor aimed at creators also has a logo which takes font kerning to extreme levels. We wouldn’t recommend designers squish their lettering this closely together.
The ASUS ProArt PA279CV very much follows current thinking in its design. A large bar at the bottom contains the OSD buttons, whilst the bezel is extremely thin. Perfect for slotting a few side by size with the minimum of plastic inbetween.
Around the back the design of the ProArt is simple, with no flashy RGB or unnecessary distractions. Cables are routed on the outside of the stand rather than within.
As well as the on-screen display buttons that will be familiar to all of you, you can see a ruler built into the bezel. This, more than anything, shows the target audience for the ProArt. If there wasn’t enough of a clue in the name.
The stand is in contrasting silver, and extremely solid. There is plenty of adjustment too. Ergonomics are vital for those long hours spent putting the finishing touches to your project. You don’t want to have to get up every five minutes because of back-ache. Get the monitor in the right place first, which this stand helps you to do.
Even if you’re particularly short, or have a very high desk, you’re covered.
Around the back we have the connection options. HDMI and DisplayPorts, as well as a superspeed USB DisplayPort and some regular USB ports. You’re certainly not lacking for places to plug stuff in.
We’re sure by now you’ve seen this awesome ProArt system build on our OC3DTV channel, but it never hurts to look at it again, particularly next to the ProArt PA279CV itself. Lush.
