Whilst it might have been pilloried at launch for delivering terrible performance and few of the claimed features, CD Projekt Red have proven why they are one of the best developers around by continuing to work on it until it is now spectacular. It looks glorious, plays like a dream, and is the glimpse of a near-future gaming fun we’ll all be enjoying. It’s still performance heavy with everything turned on, which naturally we do at any opportunity. NB – v2.0 has optimised the performance so older benchmarks aren’t wholly like-for-like, but it’s close enough as a rule of thumb that we’re including pre 2.0 tests.
