Homefront: The Revolution PC Perforamance Review

4K Testing with AMD R9 Fury X and Nvidia GTX 980Ti

 

At 4K this game is pretty much unplayable, with both the GTX 980Ti and R9 Fury X being unable to achieve average framerates of over 40FPS. This is a huge performance dip when compared to 1440p and 1080p and again is some very disappointing performance for a modern PC game. 

With this kind of performance on today’s flagship GPUs (remember that the GTX 1080 is not available to purchase yet) it is hard to recommend this game for anyone that uses a high resolution or high refresh rate monitor, as the games higher graphical options are pretty much unachievable at a consistently high framerate. 

The performance of the GTX 980Ti and R9 Fury X do become much closer than before, but with this kind of performance neither offers a great gameplay expereince.
