How to BIOS update your RTX 30 series GPU to support Resizable BAR

Updating your graphics card to support Resizable BAR – Other Manufacturers

While most of our guide on Page 2 will apply to most RTX 30 series graphics cards, it is worth noting that some GPU manufacturers use different GPU BIOS upgrade procedures. 

We have detailed how to upgrade the BIOS’ of Nvidia’s most popular partners below and Nvidia’s home-made Founders Edition GPU models. 
  
Nvidia Founders Edition

Nvidia RTX 30 series Founders Edition users will have the simplest updating process, as Nvidia has created a GPU VBIOS upgrading tool for their GPU models. This tool can be downloaded here

ASUS

ASUS’ upgrade process is similar to that of Gigabyte’s. Head over to ASUS’ website, find your graphics card model, look at its support page and search their download section to find your GPU’s BIOS update. 

EVGA

EVGA has updated their Precision X1 overclocking tool to support BIOS updates. This allows EVGA Precision X1 users to upgrade their BIOS using a simple interface.  Precision X1 has also been updated to feature a Resizable BAT check feature, which will let users know if the feature is working.  

EVGA users can download the latest version of Precision X1 here

MSI

Head over to MSI’s website, find your graphics card model, look at its support page and download the latest version of MSI Dragon Center. This tool can be used to download and update the BIOS of your RTX 30 series graphics cards. 

PALIT

Palit’s upgrade process is similar to that of Gigabyte, MSI and ASUS. Head over to PALIT’s website, select your graphics card model to download your GPU’s BIOS update.
