Power Draw

Probably the most important thing in any modern technology is the ecology/greenness of it. We’re all, thankfully, significantly more aware of our planets dwindling resources than we were before, and the manufacturers have taken this on board. The MSI GTX970 Gaming when in our test system sups barely 100W more than the GTX750Ti, or if you wish to look at it the other way, 150W less than the GTX780Ti.

Temperatures

There are two things worthy of note when it comes to the temperatures from the MSI GTX970 Gaming. Firstly the idle temperature isn’t as bad as it seems because at idle the card turns into a passive one. So it’s actually impressive considering. If that opens your eyes, the load performance is spell-binding. 63°C. Ridiculously cool.

That isn’t even the best part of the Twin Frozr V though, as it’s nearly silent. At idle it’s obviously silent because it’s passive, but even under load the case fans were louder than the card. Brilliant. Colour us massively impressed.
