MSI Modern MD241P Productivity Monitor Review
Stand Adjustability
Far too many monitor manufacturers produce terrible quality stands with far too little adjustability. It’s a hill we’re willing to die on. Thankfully the productivity ethos behind the MSI MD241P means they’ve given us an excellent stand.
There is plenty of height adjustment to ensure you’re keeping your back straight during those long days. It might seem like a small thing but once you’ve spent 10 hours a day in front of a screen with poor ergonomics you’ll really feel it in the morning.
Similarly we haven’t all got the same desks upon which to place our monitors, so having the ability to fine tune the tilt is another tool in your ergonomics armoury. The MD241P has plenty of tilt, both positive and negative degrees. More positive, obviously.
Pan is always an element we don’t use that much, unless we’re showing someone in the room what’s on our screen, but we’d rather have the capability to move it around and not use it than vice versa.
With more and more online content created either by or for phones and their portrait orientation, the option to rotate your display helps either viewing or creating content in this medium, besides the help it has when editing portrait photos or playing vertical arcade games.
