Hardware and Performance Difference

Unlike the RTX 3080 Ti the RTX 3070 Ti is much closer to its sibling in terms of the hardware increase and relative performance. In fact the performance is so close that the move to GDDR6X seems to have don’t nothing other than up the memory bandwidth which, due to the fact its still only 8GB, doesn’t actually make a difference in the scenario where it might. Faster memory will only have a huge effect at the top resolution, but the paucity of said memory already limits the performance there. Hey ho.
