Sapphire RX 7900 GRE Pulse and Nitro+ Review
Sapphire RX 7900 GRE Pulse
Sapphire RX 7900 GRE Pulse
The two different versions of the RX 7900 GRE from Sapphire show how strong their brand identity is. The packaging looks very similar, and yet different enough you know exactly which is which. It’s a talent.
Starting with the Pulse which will be familiar to anyone who has seen a Sapphire Pulse card before. Heavily angled fans dominate an otherwise largely black card, with just red pinstriping accenting things. It’s like every 32 Deuce Coupe we’ve ever seen. We love it. A classic combination.
Around the back we find a simple Pulse design, albeit one that flatlines, and Pulse identifier.
Side on you can also see how the Pulse isn’t interested in showing itself off too hard with a dazzling light display. Great for those of you who like understated systems.
A few cards are dispensing with the excellent cut-out in the backplate that helps airflow in your case. We like that Sapphire have kept it on the Pulse. It might be small but, as we know, any airflow is good airflow.
AMD stick with the tried and true PCIe power inputs and the RX 7900 GRE Pulse is no exception. Two eight pin numbers mean it’s the perfect upgrade card for an older system.
At the business end we’re greeted by two HDMI ports and two DisplayPorts. Options. You can also see the thick heatpipes that keep the Pulse cool.
