XFX RX 9060 XT Swift Review
Conclusion
Conclusion
As the gaming market, and life in general, gets insanely expensive, getting graphics cards at this price point will always be attractive. It’s why Nvidia released their RTX 5060, and AMD have this new Radeon RX 9060 XT. We don’t think it’s coincidental that both cards have similar pricing. This XFX Swift, being the stock card, is the cheapest at just a shade over three hundred notes.
Looking through our performance graphs we were surprised to see how well the RX 9060 XT did. When we saw on paper there were half the Compute Units and Stream Processors of the RX 9070 XT. Obviously performance scales hardware, but there will always be diminishing returns. As a company that have been the backbone of affordable performance for longer than we care to remember, AMD know exactly how much to put on the RX 9060 XT PCB.
Checking through our graphs we were impressed at how tightly matched this card is to Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti. Naturally, both companies have games that are stronger on one than the other. As a general rule though when the AMD Radeon tech is the right one for a particular game, it really spanks the Nvidia card. As a quick example, Call of Duty with FSR on the XFX RX 9060 XT ends up giving us the same score as the RTX 5080. Even without the FSR tech it’s beating RTX 3080 Tis. No slouch.
Tomorrow we’re going to be taking a look at some factory overclocked models of this new AMD offering. For today though we think XFX have done what they always do. Produced a card which ticks all the boxes for those of us who want visual splendour without busting the bank, and it wins our OC3D Value For Money Award.
