Zotac GTX1060 AMP! Review

Zotac GTX 1060 AMP! Review

Up Close

The packaging for the Zotac AMP! is certainly eye-grabbing. Zotac are famous for their use of yellow and the box design is no exception.

Having just looked at two full-length GTX 1060s the Zotac seems tiny. It is just barely big enough for the twin fan cooler, which combines some fat copper heatpipes with 90mm fans to keep the card running cool under all circumstances.

The size of the card is still something that’s difficult to wrap your head around. We know we’ve mentioned it a few times but once you’ve got used to handling full size cards then this extremely stubby PCB feels tiny. It’s the perfect card if you’ve got a compact chassis, and should even this card feel too large then Zotac produce a Mini GTX 1060 which is even smaller.

Size doesn’t mean skimping on the cooler though, and the full contact 8mm copper heatpipes marry up with a high fin density and two 90mm fans to ensure that your Pascal GPU is kept frosty.
