Corsair Nightsword RGB Gaming Mouse Review

Corsair Nightsword RGB Gaming Mouse Review

Introduction

Many years ago there used to be an old Pirelli advert that had the tagline “power is nothing without control”, and that is an ethos which applies to many aspects of life. It could almost be the mantra for the latest addition to the Corsair range of gaming mice, the Nightsword RGB.

As sensor speeds reach the stratosphere and gaming rapidly moves from something which is merely a challenge against yourself to a multi-million pound empire where you challenge the very best, the ability to have full control over your movements is of paramount importance. The Nightsword is designed specifically with control in mind, with every facet from the heavily textured coating through weigh systems and button placement, everything is set up for you to be at a maximum level of happiness. Mice are extensions to our arms and if you don’t have to worry about keeping it within your grasp you can focus more upon smiting your enemies.

Does the Nightsword let you smite them with more precision than ever before? Let’s run through the specifications before looking at the mouse itself, software setup, and finally letting you know what we thought of our time with it.

Technical Specifications

Usually when looking at mice specifications the average person is largely concerned with the abilities of the sensor and how many buttons there are. The Nightsword has this well covered with the Pixart PMW3391 sensor boasting a mighty 18000 DPI, whilst there are 10 buttons (but realistically 7) that are available to fulfil your customising requirements. The weight system is where it really shines though, so without further ado lets look at it in the flesh.
