Corsair Nightsword RGB Gaming Mouse Review

iCUE Software

The Corsair iCUE software weighs in at a decent size – around 400MB – but thankfully supports all your Corsair hardware in a one stop shop. This doesn’t just have the benefit of keeping everything together, but because the UI is consistent you don’t need to relearn how it works with each new addition to your collection.

First off the macro and shortcut capabilities of the iCUE are unrivalled. It is just as capable of mapping a single keypress to a button as it is performing extremely complicated tasks that include recording pointer movements.

With four lighting zones available you can be sure of having a mouse that perfectly reflects your clan colours/favourite colour/sports team. We’ll show you the colours on the next page.

It’s not only the main lighting that can be changed with the Nightsword RGB. You can set up your own custom DPI and Sniper colours too. No longer will you have a pink mouse with resolutely blue indicator lights. The DPI is adjustable in steps of 1, so you are guaranteed to have exactly the accuracy you require.

This is the true genius of the Nightsword RGB weight system. It, through witchcraft seemingly, knows exactly which weight you have installed and where they are. This is done live. Just drop a weight in and it changes, whilst also showing you how your weight choice has affected the centre of gravity of the mouse as a whole. Perfect for getting things ‘just so’.
