Up Close – Adjustability

A closer look at the side buttons shows how deeply scalloped the thumb portion is, but it’s also worth paying special attention to the palm rest as it has a lot of adjustability to ensure you have maximum comfort. Here it is in “out of the box” positioning.

The first thing you can do by turning the big screw at the back is adjust the height of it. You might consider this a small element but for those of us who have been typing for 30 years it’s helpful to give the angle between your wrist and your palm any help it can get, whilst for those of you who haven’t been plagued by RSI a more comfortable spot helps elminate any future problems.

Maximum height.

It isn’t just up and down that you can do with the palm rest, but by clicking the button at the front of the palm rest portion it unlatches and you can slide it back and forwards too. Here we are at the front…

And all the way to the back. Slide any further and it comes off allowing you to put the smaller model on.

Speaking of which, the smaller palm rest if you happen to have smaller hands or use a claw grip and want as little interference as possible. You could of course just take it off entirely, but there is a smaller one should you need it.

Lastly between the DPI button and the palm rest is the weight slot into which you can place up to four of the included weights to ensure the 700M Evo is exactly as heavy as you desire.
