Cougar 700M Evo Mouse Review
Software
If you read our review of the Attack X3 you’ll be aware that the Cougar UIX software somewhat lags behind its contemporaries as it’s an individual package per peripheral rather than a whole, but thankfully without as much lighting to customise as there was on the Attack X3 the 700M Evo package is much more usable. Even the macro editor can track your mouse movements if you wish, something we used to say was super useful in those early base building moments of an RTS. As the RTS genre has nearly died a death – certainly the classic C&C basebuilding style – then it’s less useful but we’re sure that more creative types will find ways to get the most out of it.
