The Roccat Swarm software is consistently one of the better options around, although Roccat really need to fix their download page. There is nothing quite so annoying as to deliberately download the latest version from a manufacturers website only to install it and discover, straight away, that there is a newer version. It’s irritating for the end user but for those of us with a lot of work to get through these delays are very annoying.

However, once you’re actually up and running the Swarm has all the options you require, set out in a clear package with auto-apply turned on by default so you get instant feedback on your lighting adjustments. It is easy to set up macros and change the assignment of keys when certain titles are running, and the lighting itself is simple to customise thanks to a selection of pre-assigned schemes as well as pre-defined keyboard sections. As you can see at the bottom with our quick demonstration of a lighting profile and how it looks on the Suora FX the colours are somewhat accurate.
