Steelseries 310 Rival and Sensei Review

Steelseries 310 Series - Rival and Sensei

Sensei 310 Up Close

The original Sensei is something of a legend around these parts as it was a favourite of everyone in the office, a winner of our peripheral of the year, and for a long while the benchmark against which all the others were judged. We particular like that there is no compromise in quality just because it is an ambidextrous design. Where so many high end mice are right-handed ergonomic offerings the Sensei is aimed at everyone. Like the Rival 310 it has a matte finish to the main body and grippy side pieces. A textured scroll wheel with noticeable tactile feedback lets you switch weapons with accuracy.

Due to its support for both left and right handed users the Sensei has buttons on both sides. A minor difference between the Sensei 310 and the previous Sensei and Sensei Raw models is that the side buttons have been placed flush with the body rather than sitting proudly. We’ll come to that in a moment. First, let’s look at the software.
