Corsair at Computex 2018

iCUE – Corsair has upped their RGB game!

With iCUE, Corsair has turned their complex and fragmented software suite into a viable software ecosystem, allowing users to create mesmerising lighting effects across fans, AIOs, memory and accessories.

It is clear that Corsair has taken our criticisms of CUE and Link to heart when creating iCUE, making it easier to keep everything in sync than ever before while providing users with the option to create a fully custom lighting setup with addressable RGB LEDs.

One interesting thing that we spotted at Computex was what appears to be an RGB backplate for Nvidia GTX 1070/80 Founders Edition graphics cards, offering iCUE compatible addressable lighting. At this time, we do not know if this RGB backplate will ever become a consumer product, though it is undoubtedly an appealing component visually.

In the system below we can see the full extent of Corsair’s RGB illumination technology, spanning from fans to AIOs to memory and addressable RGB stips, though this does not include the array of RGB components that are available outside of a PC case, like mice, keyboards, mousepads, headsets and more.
