Super Flower Leadex Platinum 1200W Review

Super Flower Leadex Platinum 1200W Review

Introduction

Super Flower is a name that should be familiar to the older hardware nuts amongst you as they’ve been around for over 20 years now, producing plenty of products in the chassis and power areas of the market.

Indeed it’s their power supply department, founded in 2006 as a separate entity, with expertise of their current design team that brings us today’s review, the Super Flower Leadex Platinum 1200W PSU. As with many brands from the Far East the emphasis in on combining excellent quality with low pricing. With a fully-modular design, a silent fan, a 12V rail that is capable of 100 Amps and a five year warranty, this certainly ticks down the list of things we’d choose if we were desgining one.

As with all power supplies the devil is in the detail more than anything lurking unexpectedly. To paraphrase a famous advert it’s a 1200W power supply with Platinum efficiency certification, which means you’re getting a 1200W power supply with Platinum efficiency. So we wont waste your time needlessly expounding upon what you’re getting and let’s crack on.

Technical Specifications

A large fan and plenty of connectors dominate the specifications for the SFLP, although that 1200W output also gets our pulses racing. The most important thing is always the efficiency and here the Leadex Platinum is rated at 92.4% maximum. We’ll be testing that ourselves in a moment, but first let’s take a look at this eye-catching power supply.
