2TB M.2 NVMe Shootout – Intel 660P vs Corsair MP510
Up Close
Nobody will ever accuse storage drives of being the most interesting things to look at, but even still there are a couple of points to note with the Intel and Corsair options we have today. The low pricing of the Intel probably gives itself away most in the use of a green PCB. We’re not party to the inner workings of PCB wholesalers but we can’t imagine that a black PCB costs a significant amount more than a green one, yet as you can see from the Corsair MP510 it makes a big difference both to the looks and usefulness of the drive. After all, the green Intel 660P will stand out like a sore thumb on any of our modern monochrome motherboards, yet the Corsair will slide in without the need to cover it with a heat spreader. Either included with your motherboard or a third party option.
