Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced PC Performance Review
Conclusion
Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced is an excellent game with a solid PC version
When Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced was unveiled, I was sceptical. Does a game from 2013 really need a remake? Is this really necessary? I love the original Black Flag, and I didn’t think it needed any improvements. Now that Black Flag Resynced is here, I am glad it exists. We have an excellent game remade with modern visuals, gameplay improvements, more content, and solid PC performance.
Gameplay-wise, gamers can now enjoy the more advanced parkour options of modern Assassin’s Creed games. Black Flag’s naval gameplay has also been enhanced with new options, upgrades, and the ability to unlock the ram ability earlier in the game. Given how fun that option is, this is a huge perk for Black Flag Resynced.
With a little tinkering, all PC gamers with modern hardware should be able to run this game with decent framerates. Yes, this game’s maximum settings will bring most gaming PCs to their knees, but the same is true for most modern Assassin’s Creed games. As always, most PC gamers should target this game’s high graphical preset, and aim higher if their hardware has the performance to spare.
With DLSS, FSR, and XeSS support, along with a wealth of graphical presets, PC gamers should be able to achieve solid performance on high-end systems and PC handhelds alike. This game is highly scalable, and even includes handheld-specific profiles for systems like Valve’s Steam Deck, ASUS’ ROG Ally, and MSI’s Claw series devices.
Thanks to this game’s minimal VRAM usage, gamers with 8GB GPUs should rest assured they won’t encounter VRAM-related performance issues. Furthermore, PC gamers have access to a benchmarking tool that will help them optimise their graphical settings before they start playing the game. Additionally, Ubisoft’s screenshots of their graphical options do a great job of showing PC gamers what each option does. This is incredibly useful for settings tweaking/optimisation.
Overall, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has a solid PC version. There is very little that we can complain about there. The game offers high-end graphical options for PC gamers with the hardware to run them, along with lower (but still good-looking) graphics options so gamers with lower-end PCs won’t miss out. With its polished gameplay and modern visuals, this is now the best way to play Assassin’s Creed Black Flag. I loved the original, but this is the version that I want to play today.
