1440p Benchmarks – RTX On VS Off

When we crank things up to 1440p, we can see the RTX 2060 dip below 60FPS when DXR is enabled. Even the GPU’s overage framerate dips below 60FPS. Strangely, the RTX 2060’s 1440p performance without DXR raytracing is almost identical to the game’s 1080p performance with DXR raytracing enabled. This presents an interesting trade-off. 1080p 60FPS with DXR enabled, or 1440p 60FPS with DXR disabled.

At 1440p, Nvidia’s RTX 2080 Ti is able to easily handle Call of Duty: Modern Warfare at 1440p maximum settings at 75 FPS. This leaves plenty of performance headroom for GPUs like the RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Super to offer 1440p 60 FPS framerates, or close to it, using the same in-game settings.
