Cyberpunk 2077 FSR 4 Update Tested!

Native TAA VS FSR 4 – Image Quality

FSR 4 Performance VS Native TAA – Is FSR 4 Better?

Below, we have compared the image quality of AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 and Cyberpunk 2077’s native TAA. FSR 4 is used in Performance mode. These images are sections of 4K screenshots which have been captured from a Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Pulse graphics card.

Honestly, I am in shock. I didn’t expect AMD’s FSR 4 to look better than Cyberpunk 2077’s native TAA presentation in performance mode. With FSR 4, AMD’s delivering stronger visuals overall while also delivering higher framerates. That’s a win-win for team Radeon.

Again, gamers can see more detail in the lady in the screenshot below and the mechsuit. FSR 4 delivers more detail and increased sharpness.

Below is a screenshot from Cyberpunk 2077’s benchmark. With TAA, there is ghosting as the game’s camera passed this railing. With FSR 4, this ghosting doesn’t exist. Furthermore, there is less aliasing when FSR 4 is used. Once again, FSR 4 best native TAA in performance mode. Wowzers!

Below, we have an instance where native TAA and FSR 4’s performance mode trade blows. Native TAA does a better job with the game’s trees, but FSR 4 does a better job with the distant green holographic advert. Overall, I think the image with FSR 4 looks better. It also performs much better.
