RX 580 VS GTX 1060 – Graphical Scalability – Lowest to Ultra

In this test, we will have a look at how scalable Forza Horizon 4’s graphical settings are on PC, as well as see how easy the game is to run at 60+ FPS on mid-range graphics cards like the Radeon RX 580 Strix and the Geforce GTX 1060 (6GB) Strix. 

As you can see below, Forza Horizon 4’s Ultra preset can bring both of our test graphics cards below 60FPS, with both GPUs offering similar performance levels. Moving the game’s graphical settings down to high will see a boost in minimum framerate of 25-30% bringing both the RX 580 and GTX 1060 over the 60FPS mark. 

With the Xbox One X version of the game only offering support for 1080p 60FPS framerates, it is hard not to be impressed by the ability to play this game at 1440p 60+ FPS using these two graphics cards.  Forza Horizon 4 appears to be very easy to run, but hold that thought until you get to the next page.
