RX 480 VS GTX 1060 – Low, Medium, High and Ultra Settings
In our testing, we found that both our GTX 1060 and RX 480 performed best under irectX 12 with Asynchronous compute active, with both GPUs performing similarly at 1440p Ultra settings.
At lower settings, we can see AMD start to gain an advantage here, though neither GPU achieves a perfect 60+FPS at 1440p. This can be fixed with a slightly lower resolution scale in game or a drop to a resolution like 1080p.
