Sniper Elite 4 Performance Review

1080p Performance

Below we have tested each of these GPUs in both DirectX 11 modes and DirectX 12, with GCN, Pascal and Ploris GPUs running with Async Compute turned on for maximum performance. Alternatively, Nvidia Maxwell powered GPUs are run in DirectX 12 mode without Async Compute for optimal performance.

In our 1080p testing, we can see that all GPUs tested do benefit from playing the game with the DirectX 12 API, though we can see that for the most part, that Nvidia offers the best GPU performance at this resolution. The only exception here is with the R9 380 and the GTX 960, with the R9 380 gaining a significant amount of performance when using the DirectX 12 API with Async Compute.

Below we can also see that the GTX 1060 and above can achieve framerates of steady 60FPS or over, though the RX 480 can achieve a steady 60FPS with only a minor decrease in graphical settings.
