Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

Dynamic Resolution Scaling

Dynamic Resolution Scaling is a popular feature in many of Respawn Entertainment’s recent releases, including both Apex Legends and Titanfall 2. Dynamic Resolution Scaling is a great addition for users of mid-range graphics hardware, being able to get our RX 5700 Red Devil to roughly 60FPS performance levels from its 30ish FPS at native 4K.

Sadly, this feature is let down by the game’s CPU performance issues and loading-related performance dips, as this prevents resolution scaling from delivering sufficiently stable 60FPS framerates. Even when setting this game’s framerate target as high as it can do, a stable 60 FPS remains challenging, which is disappointing for a AAA release on a leading game engine.
