Star Wars Jedi Survivor Tested - Huge performance gains with PC Patch 3.5

Not as VRAM-hungry as expected

before the game’s launch we had heard reports of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor utilising 90% of an RTX 3090’s 24GB frame buffer and other cray claims, but based on our testing, we have not seen results that are that crazy.

At 4K maxed out settings, you can see that Star Wars Jedi’ Survivor used 15GB of VRAM on our Gigabyte RTX 4090 Windforce, and that disabling ray tracing moves the game’s VRAM utilisation below 12GB. Not bad for a modern AAA game, but a clear sign that 8GB GPU users may want to lower some of this game’s graphical settings and avoid ray tracing.

It is worth noting that the chart below shows how much memory this game uses on a 24GB RTX 4090, and not how much memory the game needs to run smoothly. While se can see 10GB of VRAM usage at 1080p Epic settings (with RT off), it is probable that the game would run on 8GB graphics cards without any major issues.
