Windows 10 Meltdown/Spectre Patch Performance Impact Assessment

In our games testing we decided to test our CPU in both a dual-core quad thread configuration as well as the i7 6850K’s standard 6-core 12-thread setup, hopefully allowing us to see how if the patch has a greater or lesser impact during a more CPU-limited workload.
In 3DMARK Time Spy the difference in performance was minimal, but it remains to be seen how this applies to games, not synthetic benchmarks.
