Blender is a popular open source 3D graphics software tool that is popular amongst some of our readers, making it an ideal tool to start off with when looking at the performance impact of this update from a productivity perspective. 

When testing Blender, we utilised our custom Blender rendering workload and found that Microsoft’s new security patch had no real performance impact on the time it took to complete the task. An extra three seconds on a job that took almost 12 minutes to complete and a 13-second increase in a render that took around 45, not exactly enough to call more than a margin of error impact.
