4TB PCIe Gen 5 M.2 Review

ATTO

Never ones to test a single approach to a product, ATTO tests a different way to Anvil. We’re sorting by the middle 128KB block size here, which has a big effect upon the ordering of the graph, but better reflects average usage. Windows is constantly writing things in the background, and even your beefy AAA games aren’t read sequentially, in one big file, in one go. As you can see, the acceleration to mid-speed is perhaps best on Gen 4 drives, but once the Gen 5 M.2s pick up their petticoats there is no catching them.
